Workshop panel

The workshop panel: the repair queue by date — device model, repair type, technician and service centre

Updated

The workshop panel is the working queue of the repair department. It gathers every workshop ticket: the repair statuses of devices by date, the device model, the repair type, the assigned technician and the service centre.

The panel answers two questions a manager has: what is in progress right now and with whom, and which work has not been picked up yet — no technician assigned.

What the panel shows

For every repair in the list you can see:

  • the date it entered the workshop and the repair status;
  • the device model and the repair type — a service from the services reference book;
  • the assigned technician;
  • the service centre the work belongs to.

How the work flows

Work reaches the panel from the order overview: the front desk adds a repair type to the order, and a ticket is created for it with the status “Assign technician”. The workshop manager assigns an assignee, the technician carries out the repair in the ticket, and closing the ticket returns the result to the order.

Visibility of the list depends on privileges: an employee can be left with only the orders of their own office, or only the repairs where they are the assigned technician.
